I am looking at a Colt 1911 made for Argentina, one of the Colt contract 10,000 before Sistema started production.
This one has unfortunately been polished and reblued, the argentina crest is very light, almost gone, the rest of the lettering is still there although with that bubba polished look
It also has the sistema serial numbering method applied. I guess the argentina contracts only had the serial in one place hidden originally. Well this one has the sistema serial system marking on the side of the frame and on the slide ahead of the Ejercito Argentina markings.
Can anyone ballpark the worth of this poor bubbad gun?
Thanks in advance.
